DAY 01 :

All passengers assemble at Bangalore International Airport with ORIGINAL PASSPORTS, TICKET and VISA Copy. Board the flight to Colombo. On arrival at Colombo, you will meet our representative, later proceed to Dambulla, en-route visit Munneswaram Temple, Chilaw. It is believed that Munneswaram pre-dates the Ramayana and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was located here. Munneswaram means the first temple for Shiva (Munnu + Easwaran). A Shiva Lingam was already here when Lord Rama visited this place. Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhya with Sita in one of King Ravana’s Vimanas. He felt he was being followed by a Bramhaasthi Dosham (a malevolent black shadow) as he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. Thereafter proceed to Manavari Temple. When the Vimana was passing over Muneeswaram, Lord Rama felt the Vimana vibrating, and realized the Brahmaasti Dosham was not following him at this particular point. He stopped the Vimana at this juncture and asked Lord Shiva for advice. Lord Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised installing and praying at four lingams located at Manavari, Thiru Koneshwaram, Thiru Ketheshwaram and Rameshwaram in India as the only remedy to get rid of the dosham. The first lingam was installed at Manavari, near the banks of the River Deduru Oya. At the Manavari Temple Chilaw Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Rama and till date this lingam is calledas Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in world named after Lord Rama. Night Halt Dambula.

DAY 02 :

After Breakfast proceed towards Trincomalee. Visit Shankari Devi Temple its one among the Asta Dasha Shakti Peethas, it is situated in an east coast town of Srilanka, Trincomalee. Shakti Peeta shloka starts with Lankayam Shankari Devi composed by Sri Jagadguru Aadi Shankaracharya. This temple is a prominent temple for Hindus. But it is most rarely visited and it is very least popular in all Asta Dasha Shakti Peethas. Along with the temple of Shankari Devi, there is a temple of Lord Shiva – TRIKONESHWARA Temple. After Lunch visit Lakshmi Narayana Temple, Nilaveli Beach & Kanniya Hot Spring. Dinner and overnight stay at Trincomalee Overnight at Trincomalee.

DAY 03 :

After breakfast to proceed to Kandy. En-route visit Ravana Palace, Window Show Mathale Muthumariyamman Temple. Proceed to Kandy. Its the hill capital. Venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere. Visit Upper Lake Drive,Market Square and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess’s hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout theBuddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession. In the evening, witness a cultural show. Overnight at Kandy.

DAY 04 :

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, En-route visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda Falls. It is believed that Lord Hanuman came here searching for Sitadevi, this Beautiful BhaktaHanuman Temple was Built by Chinmaya mission, it is located on the way to Nuwara Eliya, with Lord Hanuman as the presiding deity on this hill. On every full moon day special poojas are conducted and witnessed by thousands of devotees.The statue of Lord Hanuman here is carved out of granite and is 16 feet in height. NuwaraEliya, is the highest town in Sri Lanka. Situated at around 2000m above sea level and surrounded by lush tea plantations. NuwaraEliya is the main hill resort of Sri Lanka and the heart of the tea industry. Relax your day at Nuwaraeliya city. Visit Gregory Lake & Gayathri Peedam. You can do boat rides at the Gregory’s Lake and horse ride at the City upon your wish. Dinner and overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 05 :

After breakfast proceed to Bentota. On the way visit Seetha Amman Temple, Seetha Eliya. The stream that runs from the hill, catered to the needs of Sitadevi during her stay at Ashoka Vatika. She is said to have bathed in this stream. Now there is a temple erected for Lord Rama, Sitadevi, Laxshmana and Hanuman by the side of this stream. It is interesting to note that foot prints of Lord Hanuman are found by this river. Visit Ashoka Vatika (window Show), visit Spice Garden. Reaching Bentota check in to hotel, free time to relax or enjoy Optional Watersports. Dinner and overnight stay at the Bentota

DAY 06 :

After breakfast checkout from hotel, visit Turtle Hatchery, Madu River Boat Safari. Proceed to Colombo for City Tour. It is the most vibrant city in Sri Lanka. During the city tour you will explore the historic, religious and commercial value of the city. This is a very small city and it is enriched with colonial type of building and modern structured buildings. You will start your city tour from Fort area and Colombo National Museum. After that you will proceed towards Petta, the most happening bazaar area with mix of people in every nationality and religions. At the bazaar you can do some street shopping as well. City tour will continue through Wolfe dhal Dutch church, Hulfts drop law courts and then to cinnamon gardens (high class living), Independent Square. Transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
